I’m a sucker for nice things. Albeit, I can’t afford them, but I still value their beauty. Like vintage. It’s irreplaceable, it’s like you’re wearing a piece of history. Who wore this gem before me and where did they go? Who was the woman before me? Was she bold and sassy? Or prim and quiet?
That’s the beauty of buying vintage. There’s a story with every piece, whether it’s a scarf or a fur-lined jacket. I still have a few of my mom’s old clothes, a few crop tops that I’m sure were beachwear-fabulous in the 1970s. And her black and grey scarf from the 1980s, I have that too. Pulled from the closet as a teenager and kept, because, frankly, I can’t find anything as warm or pretty anywhere else.
So I thought I’d give my go at finding a variation of looks inspired by one vintage outfit. Then you pick, do you want the vintage look or the modern day inspiration? Leave a comment on which one you’d pick.
