We did not see our plow man until after 5 p.m. today. Not that we needed to go anywhere, I’m pretty sure most of the area was shut down. I’m completely okay with that. But what that also meant, was that we were not going to make it to Everproven Crossfit for our workout. I’ll be honest, I didn’t even check if they were open today. Sorry, guys, I made a mental decision not to leave home.

Welcome to Snowmeggedan 2015. Yes, New England is being buried in snow, and it’s beautiful. This morning, when we woke up, I took a few minutes to look out the windows, and watch the snow blow passed the windows. Then I made the unfortunate decision to open the mud room door… and in came the snow. Whoops.
So I’m hunkering in for a bit until we’re all woken up and can put on snow gear and make snowmen and snow angels. And here’s my 5 things I think are necessary to survive the snowstorm, in no particular order.
1. Have a pancake breakfast
Because they’re delicious, a treat, and we made them with almond milk, so that’s better than they could be, right?

When I was in college, I studied abroad in Grenoble, France. I had made a promise to myself to go to Africa. I mean, I was a flight away. Although, at that time, I wanted to go to Morocco. My cousin Jordan is going there and I’ve honestly never been more jealous of anyone than I am of her right now. Long story short, I never got to go.
I was taking a walk in downtown Portsmouth and poking around all the little shops when I had this vision of a cute skirt and bootie outfit. I know, super random, but it’s one of those thing where you realize you’re wearing a frumpy sweatshirt and leggings and go “I could do better than this.”
So when I found this skirt, I was in love. In love with these warm winter wools. Simple, no bold patterns, but a fantastic, great priced skirt, wool trench coat for under $35, and fantastic red sweater.
