Chambray Neutrals

Chambray

Top Chambray | Circle Skirt | Similar Belt | Similar Watch

I so love this outfit. Once again I have to bite my tongue for all the times I said I didn’t understand chambray shirts or what all the hype was about. Yes, blue is a neutral, so in theory this is a chambray neutral. Right?

I think I’m starting to obsess about this shirt and trying to find any way possible to bring it into an outfit.

Come shop with me at the Newington Loft, we have a special event coming up that I’ll tell you about later this week. Invite only!

Army Chic

Army Chic | Loft

I’ve seen camo coming through as if it’s the next best thing to hit the fashion world, and to be honest, I have no idea how to style it without looking like I’m going out hunting.

But with a little thinking, pairing different colors with the palette, and adding some sparkle, I think I’ve figured out a away to tackle this trend. I really love the purple with the camo, it makes it more feminine without making it ridiculous. I’d say that’s Army chic.

Thoughts on how I did?

Double the Pattern, Double the Fun

This morning I couldn’t help myself. I was in one of those moods where you just want to go a little crazy. Just a little. Why not double the patterns up in my outfit. Right? And this is super cute! Mostly because I love teal and orange together, but also because even alone, I love these patterns.

Crazy? Not so crazy. You can pair two patterns together, just one has to be less busy than the other. So I paired this bold orange stripe with my favorite teal geometric shorts, then topped it off with a simple long chain with a teal pendant. Voila! Instant outfit, only three pieces.

For a closer look at the short pattern:

Mix your patterns and share them with me. I’d love to see how you’re styling your summer outfits. Below, check out some stripe and pattern options to double the pattern in your own closet. And remember, complimentary colors can go a long way in helping your outfit feel like it goes together.

Lime Green Shorts And 50% Off Loft

Lime Green Shorts and Teal Top

Shirt | Shorts (Margarita Lime) | Belt

Turns out, I’m up for a challenge. See, at work we have these mannequins. Each week, we take one item and style an entire outfit around it. One day I’ll make an outfit, another day one of the other associates will. One week we had a floral linen tee. So I thought I’d be funny and pull an item that almost everyone walks right by – lime green shorts. To be honest, I don’t really expect many people to pick them up, but maybe this will change their mind. My thought, if we can’t style it, then who would?

And I actually surprised myself with a very quick styling with a Bow Neck Shell and belt. Surprise, it matched. AND ! I have a surprise for you all, today the entire store is 50% off, so my outfit only costs $59.25 today! And I’m working this evening, so stop by and see me. And if you want to save more than 50%, just ask, I’ll tell you how.
