Polka Dot Linen Dress | Loft Dress

Loft Polka Dot Linen Dress

I got a little silly the other night at work and tried on a few new items. We just received a HUGE shipment of new dresses, pants, tops, and the cutest little purses. And then I spotted this, a polka dot linen sleeveless dress that just called to me. There is something vintage feeling about this linen dress, and I think that’s why I love it so much.

As a joke (mostly on myself), I tried it on with a bright pink cardigan (desert blush, I believe it’s called). Turns out, it was pretty darn adorable. And I’m pretty sure just about every girl on my shift was going to get their own.

Now I just need an event to go to… or an afternoon picnic. I can’t help myself, just too cute!

Maxi Dress Must-Haves | Loft Maxi Dresses

Loft Maxi Dress for Summer

Maxi dresses are the one time I can feel like I dressed up, yet I get to wear a blanket out in public. You heard me right. I’m not only being fashionable, I’m being lazy. They are one of the most comfortable pieces of attire I own, and I seriously cannot get enough of them. Thank goodness they’re in style right now.

And the main event in my closet right now is this LOFT Mitered Stripe Keyhole dress. I might have impulse bought this one, but it’s so soft and honestly I’ve gotten so many compliments already that I’m trying to find another way to weave it into my wardrobe. Possibly layering the top with something else so it looks like a skirt? Hmmmm, time to go shopping again. And if anyone has any “must” maxi dresses that I should check out, let me know! I only have three that I’ve kept since cleaning out my closet and could use some more.

Spring Easter LOFT Outfit

Spring Easter

Happy early spring Easter, everyone! I know, I know, I have a few days, BUT I wanted to share this cute outfit I styled that’s up in our shop. Might be slightly inspired by Easter eggs and pastel hues, but by no means do I think it’s too much.

One of my managers gave me the opportunity to dress a mannequin with anything I wanted, so I went super cute skirt and jacket combo. And I’m not lying, I’ve already dressed a woman for a friend’s baby spring baby shower in this, and she LOVED it! Just made my day.

Stop by my store and check it out, plus everything is 40% off right now!

Mixing Patterns

mixing patterns

Who says you can’t mix patterns?

Clearly, not me.

You have no idea how many times I’ve pulled out a leopard print belt and mixed it with stripes, floral, or in this case, butterflies. I also can’t call you how many times I’ve been styling someone and I’ve had them give me the stink-eye for suggesting they start mixing patterns. I swear, I won’t let you walk out of the fitting room looking crazy, I just want to see if you can pull it off. Fabrics, too. Cotton does not have to go with cotton, linen can be mixed with wool if you do it right.

So I my argument today is this denim skirt, cotton tank top, gold necklace, leopard belt, and polyester butterfly blouse. It can be done folks… it can be done.

Check out my Pinterest inspiration.
