Clearly it’s getting to be sweater weather. That time where you must curl up with a warm blanket, fuzzy scarf, or a loved one to stay warm. Which is why I’m going through all my lovely scarves and deciding which ones I want to keep, get rid of, and which ones I want to buy.
I’m obsessed with finding the perfect scarf. Do I want one that is fuzzy? How about quirky? I always come back to plaid, yet rarely buy those. Tell me, what’s your favorite scarf?
It’s that time of year again. Where I need to dress up for family and friend outings. The problem is, I want to be comfy. Which is how I ended up with Lou & Grey leggings and this Loft top. Kind of love the look.
When I think fall clothing, I think of a deep, dark color palette. The stores have turned over their shops. There’s no more neons from summer. No more bright shades. The colors are reminiscent of the turning fall foliage, which I adore as it reminds me of living in Vermont. I used to drive up and down Route 7, both sides of the road going from dark reds to burnt oranges, back to rusted browns.
So when the stores switch over to these same colors, I’m excited and inspired. I really didn’t like this navy button-up with beaded until I paired it with this skirt. It was different for me, but something that I really loved once I put it all together. What’s your work-ready fall look?
I know it’s fall. And I know this dress is not for the red, brown, and yellows that are starting to show themselves in New England. But I can’t help but smile in this Allure Lilly Pulitzer dress. Makes me think about Cape Cod, spending the day beachside at some classy event with my man in boat shoes, khakis, and a button-up. The look is sweet. And makes me forget, even if just a minute, that I’ll be wearing sweaters for now until March (possibly April).
I’m also completely in love with this Lauren Merkin clutch. Simple, neutral, and there is no way that it’s going to fall open when you throw it around. Not that you’d throw it around, but you can tell it’s high quality. And it’s beautiful, with striped interior. I’m in love.
