Aches & Pains | Day 3 of the Whole 30

I feel like my body is falling apart. Seriously. The spaces in between my fingers hurt, like achy hurt. And my back, well, my body is not having it. I can’t seem to get comfortable to save my life and Tylenol is doing nothing for me.
No, I’m not sick. Or at least I don’t think I am. I think it’s The Whole 30. I read about this, and I did not prepare myself mentally enough for it. The first week where your boday decides, we-are-going-to-fight-this.
The Whole 30 tells me it’s my fault. That my body is detoxing, basically getting rid of all the junk I’ve been eating over the years. They tell me this could last for days, but a hangover-feel for that long might just put me over the edge. I’m holding on, dear readers, but if I get angry, don’t be alarmed. It’s just the Doritos, Ben & Jerry’s, loaves of fresh French Bread, and blocks of cheddar cheese talking as they leave my body. Can I go back to bed yet?

On the bright side, I’m eating healthy and consuming way more veggies and fruits than I normally do. I’m even eating apples, which for anyone who knows me, knows that’s not my first go-to for vitamins. I’d rather scarf down a banana, kiwi, or strawberry. And I’m glad to be eating avocados, too.
