Mixing Prints – Leopard and Flowers Loft

Floral Jacket | Animal Print Top | Stud Earrings | Bar Pendant Necklace | Dark Denim

I’m kind of obsessed with this look. I know, it’s a lot of print. But it’s a lot of print that works. So adorable mixing prints like this animal pattern and the big florals of this jacket. Add some dark denim, a gold necklace to break it up, and there ya go.

Also, today in store all full-price items are 50% off. Yup, you heard me. So head to the mall and I’ll help find your size in this outfit. You have to see it on!

Coral and Grey Foxes | Infant Outfit

Baby Clothes Grey FoxesBaby ClothesGet the mini look: Jean Jacket | Carter’s Baby Girl’s L/S Button-Front Shirt | Grey Leggings

Can you say perfect apple picking outfit? I can. Also, that shirt has grey foxes on it. It wouldn’t let me leave the store without it. Had a grip on me or something.

Let’s back up. I thought I’d be cute and style an infant. Turns out, it’s a million times harder to walk out of a child’s store without clothes than an adult clothing store. I got sucked in. All I wanted was to pick out a fall apple picking outfit. Mini jean jackets. Petite little leggings. Overalls. Plaid shirts. Oh my goodness, the cuteness never ends.

I think I spent just as much on her as I would on an outfit for myself, but I honestly couldn’t stop myself. I wish I could have gotten the fox shirt in my size (Carter’s Outlet doesn’t have my size).

Also, learned that day, it’s really hard to balance an apple on top of a toddler’s head. They just keep moving. Crazy.

Army Chic

Army Chic | Loft

I’ve seen camo coming through as if it’s the next best thing to hit the fashion world, and to be honest, I have no idea how to style it without looking like I’m going out hunting.

But with a little thinking, pairing different colors with the palette, and adding some sparkle, I think I’ve figured out a away to tackle this trend. I really love the purple with the camo, it makes it more feminine without making it ridiculous. I’d say that’s Army chic.

Thoughts on how I did?

Bold, Bright, And Beautiful

BlackWhiteBold

Dress | Tank Top

Sometimes, I need to step outside my comfort zone and give in to the fact that not everyone has the same aesthetic as I do. Case in point: an outfit put together by one of my coworkers.

Now you have to understand that I love patterns, but not bold patterns. And I certainly don’t put together bold patterns with bold colors, because – frankly – they scare the heck out of me and I don’t even think my loud obnoxious personality could compete in any way shape or form.

So when I walked around the corner and saw this graphic print dress with a bright yellow tank, and a bright necklace, I didn’t know exactly what to think. First off, it didn’t scream Loft to me. But then I thought about it, Loft isn’t about just fitting one mold. It’s about making something your own. Sure, it’s bright, it’s bold, it’s even a little out there, but it’s taking a chance.

So I’m going to take the hint and maybe try it myself, look for outfits that are a bit outside my comfort zone and bright and bold for summer. Who’s with me?
